Scuttle Bug: For endless fun and entertainment, the Scuttlebug Ride-on is a terrific choice for active little ones and those learning to move their little legs and feet. While the toy’s plastic feels lightweight, parents noted that it was surprisingly sturdy. After a few hits into walls and the ground over two months of testing, the scooter remained intact. The easy fold up capability is a huge bonus for parents who feel like they are always trying to find places to store toys. It also allows for the scooter to be tossed in the car and taken along for the ride. With all things considered, the age range for this toy is exactly on point, something testers really appreciate. The Scuttlebug seat is the perfect size for little bottoms aged 1-3 and moves with ease indoors and outdoors. The seat seems to be quite comfortable and the turning radius is exceptionally tight. Parents said that their toddlers often rode around in circles in the kitchen while they were cooking dinner. Parents felt that the cost of the Scuttlebug Ride On is right in line with others in its category and, considering how many boxes this toy checks off, it is something that they would definitely buy and recommend to others.
Scramble Bug: The Scramblebug Ride On is an absolutely adorable looking first ride-on toy. The design is appealing and clever even using the handle bars to look like the bug’s “antennae.” The assembly of the Scramblebug was straightforward and easy which parents appreciated but they really loved how the Scramblebug folds flat with just three clicks. This makes it very easy to store out of sight or take along on road trips. In a unique design twist the back of the seat is slightly higher than the front so a child can start out riding toward the front and then slide back in the seat as they grow. When it comes to riding the standout feature of the Scramblebug is that all four wheels can rotate 360 degrees. This means that it can go forwards, backwards and sideways with ease. It can even spin around in circles. Not only is this fun, but it’s also a great chance for toddlers to practice their balance while the handlebar steering is great for developing strong motor skills.
Scootie Bug: The Scootiebug Scooter is a great first scooter for little riders. Wee ones will love the way it looks and will find it easy to hop on and learn how to scoot. Visually, Scootiebug has a big personality with it’s fun-loving lady bug design, big eyes and smiley face on the front and black and polka dots on the back. It’s kind of a kid magnet. This appealing design proved to be both effective and friendly, making the scooter attractive for toddlers who might be a little intimidated by the idea of riding a scooter. The scooter folds easily, a feature that is a great space saving option. The Scootiebug’s wheels roll very smoothly over pavements even those with minor cracks, providing a very gentle ride. The deck provides adequate stiffness and is non-slip creating a stable surface to stand on. The handle bars are attached with rubber grips and are adjustable to fit the child’s height even as they grow giving it even greater value. This is a 3 wheeled scooter, which means the Scootiebug turns when the child shifts his or her weight, so learning to steer will take a short time initially but becomes a fairly intuitive process. Bottom line is that this really is an adorable, functional first scooter.
